| | The Talent Spirit in association with Formation Evolution Synergie (Avignon, France) and ACTES.CH (Lausanne) is organizing for the first time in Geneva the
“Professional Coaching” training programThe 3 modules of 3 days each will be held on June 24-26, September 30- October 2 and December 15-17 2009. | | | | The training program will be delivered by Kate Lindley Scheidegger and Gilles Roy, who has been training coaching for more than 12 years and who has trained hundreds of managers and freelance coaches in France and the Swiss-French area.
The goal of this programme is to allow participants to acquire the necessary competencies for coaching, in order to incorporate them in the current professional activity or to develop their own coaching career.
How? Training methods The program is limited to 15 participants to allow for sufficient exchange and personal follow-up. The training is divided between theory and practice. The participants have many opportunities to coach each other, to experience the tools proposed, and to receive feedback. Personal attention is given to each participant’s future coaching project.
For whom? This training program is designed for people working or interested in the areas of communication, helping others, and managing people, such as managers, Human Resources professionals, trainers, consultants, etc. It is also for people who have started other training programs in the area of communication, and who want to pursue coaching.
Benefits for managers – this program will allow you to - have problem-solving discussions that focus on finding solutions
- explore together ways of improving the unit’s results and team performance
- keep up-to-date on your employees’ current work-load, issues and obstacles
- develop your employees’ skills in dealing with technical, relational and political issues
- have meaningful discussions on a regular basis
Which in turn will enable managers to impact the management style and company culture by:
- replacing the traditional management style of command and control
- being relieved of the responsibility of having all the answers
- accessing information that employees have in their area of competence, so that managers can make more informed decisions
- increasing managers’ trust and confidence in their employees
- delegating responsibility to employees you trust and have confidence in
- having actively involved and committed employees who perform better
Benefits for HR professionals – this program will allow you to - have conversations with employees and managers that focus on finding solutions to the types of problems they have, in a more optimistic and realistic way
- help employees find ways of coping with situations that are new and/or uncomfortable for them
- stop giving advice that is not taken
- be seen as an enabler rather than just a sympathetic ear
- spend time more usefully with the people you provide HR support to
- understand when an external coach is required for the employee or the manager

| | | | | | Our mission is to make the organization a better place to work for.We serve individuals and organizations in the fields of talent identification, development, sustainability and retention with particular emphasis on the high potentials. | | The Talent Spirit (formerly The Training Spirit) was founded in Geneva in 1993 by Kate Lindley and Jean-Luc Scheidegger and has gained a prominent place in the Swiss corporate training market. Our name reflects our philosophy of being at the forefront of evolution of people issues in corporate life. We thus model the sort of change management we provide. We like to think of ourselves as talent developers and include ourselves in that ambition. The Talent Spirit team is committed to maintaining our high reputation by continuing to deliver a complete range of services that make The Talent Spirit a "one-stop-shop" for human resources solutions. We come from different countries and cultures and have complementary areas of expertise in which we have certification and experience. We see differences as an opportunity for learning and growing. We are enthusiastic about our job and passionate about quality and continuous improvement. Team members operate an inter-group monitoring system which gives regular feedback as to how standards are being met. This allows us to offer our clients a “success guarantee” whereby a client who is not 100% satisfied is entitled to complimentary extra sessions. This is the “spirit” in which we do our job. Call it team spirit, call it passion, call it “walking the talk” All these expressions add up to making the experience of working with The Talent Spirit unique, efficient, effective and, we hope, enjoyable. | | | | |
